Stowaways

As the number of refugees and asylum seekers increase around the world we find that the incidents of stowaways also increase.

Our channel tunnel and roll on/roll off ferry links with the continent of Europe are the main entry routes in to the United Kingdom for these desperate people. Despite the dangers to themselves they stowaway in trailers and containers, often in large numbers crammed in to small spaces. The damage to Cargo is often considerable. Foodstuff, clothing and other consumables are particularly susceptible and are frequently rejected by receivers as being unfit to be handled leading to their total destruction on health grounds.
